When devices are configured properly, it's easy to describe/predict how they will operate. However, when the guidelines are ignored, all bets are off.

Jul 16, 2015 9:01 AM in response to Philly_Phanby davidgilbert73,I have a similar issue. My 6 and my ipad mini sync the recent call logs even if I leave the ipad at home and make a call when off my wifi and out of my house. BUT my wife has an identical 6 and mini running the same 8.4 release as me and hers will not do this. We have tried to get it to work on hers, and it simply won't. Any ideas how to make this work? again, not wanting calls on one phone to show on the other, but calls to/from a phone to show on its associated ipad.
For the record I was still using an Ipad 2 at the end of May when this first popped up on my facetime logs. when I restored my backup to the new mini it has kept updating call logs almost instantly.
and no we do NOT share apple IDs between us, each have our own. I use my id on my phone and my ipad, she uses her id on her phone and ipad. Family share is on since both kids also have 2 apple devices each(and their own ids).

Jul 21, 2015 7:53 AM in response to Jbbttusmuby SevenHabitsFan,I just spoke to Apple Support to resolve this. They said that if I change it FROM sharing an iCloud account TO everyone using a separate iCloud account and utilizing Family Sharing, it should retain the features I want without getting the missed calls pinging around to everyone. About to test out...

What a surprise. That's exactly what I've stated repeatedly (see posts above).

Jul 31, 2015 10:13 AM in response to Philly_Phanby MissD79,★HelpfulTo fix this issue go to Settings - General - Handoff. Turn this feature off on both handsets. You will no longer share call logs :-)

Aug 18, 2015 5:47 AM in response to Philly_Phanby matt020876,Philly your comments are not big certainly not clever and certainly not constructive.
Family sharing is still not fit for purpose for what myself and users here have been using their shared apple id for for years.
Other family members cant access your icloud storage - you no longer automatically see photos that have been taken with another device and you sharing Apple music is unusable as its so buggy.
Ive tried family sharing and its simply no good.
The answer to this issue is to ensure handoff is turned off on all devices. Ipads included

Aug 18, 2015 6:28 AM in response to matt020876by Csound1,The answer is to use it as designed, 1 person, 1 ID. not in some silly group fashion.

You're welcome to do as you wish but please don't whine when the product reacts as it was designed to do.

You're obviously unwilling to listen.
Use your phone any way that you wish but please don't whine when it works the way that it was designed to.

Aug 18, 2015 7:11 AM in response to Philly_Phanby matt020876,Actually I wasn't whining, I was pointing out if you sacrifice the handoff function/facetime then devices work as users here and myself wish to use them...
Your attitude is quite frankly unhelpful and unwanted

Yes, for those that are not interested in knowing how the iPhone functions.
