When I type a name to start a start text, my contact information shows up

I can type a name, say John, and it shows john's number and email etc. it also shows contatcs that John has been associated with in a group message. The weird thing is, my contact information also shows up as a person that I could text. It does this for any of the contacts in my phone that are family to me.

is the reason my contact information shows up due to the fact I have the related names in my contact card showing with my family members? Is there a way to keep the text thing from happening?
