how long does it take to charge battery

got my mac-book pro yesterday and it got to 3% today before I put it on charge, how long will it take to get to 100%?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

From that low a level it may take up to 8-10 hours. BTW, you should not allow the charge to drop below 10% in normal use. If the charge level drops to zero the battery can become unchangeable and, therefore, unusable.

20% is a good target. Just be sure you don't let it drop down to 3% or less, although when it does drop down to 20% you should get a low-battery warning, I think.
