Does iTunes match work for movies as well?
i Have a huge DVD collection and want to put them on my computer and be able to access them on my Apple TV? Does iTunes match allow me to do this?

No. iTunes Match is exclusively for music.
However, if the Apple Tv and the computer are on the same network, you can simply use Homesharing to access your iTunes library on your computer, from the Apple Tv.
