CalendarAgent constantly sending 150MB-190MB of data. Is this normal? Is there a way to reduce these transmissions?

I am trying to find out why my internet is running so slow. No problem with WiFi on the iPad, only the Ethernet connection on the iMac. In the activity window, I can see that the CalendarAgent is always at the top of the list. I just checked it and it just sent 552.9 MB. Is this normal? Is there something I can do to reduce the amount of data sent? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on this.

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
