I got an alert on my screen of a security alert of a phishing attack. I was given a phone number to call and was speaking to someone when they asked my for information which I did not have at hand. when I got back to the phone the call had been ended. Is this the usual procedure for security breaches . Who do I talk to about this?

It was a scam message. Never, ever call such numbers presented.

IT was on my computer. No information was divulged. It was so shocking with the locked screen . I didn't know that could happen. I will pay more attention to what pops up on screen.
