ITunes wont open. I couldnt not figure out why and how can i open it.

Hello eveybody. i have mac late 2011 and have Yosemite installed. My ITunes was working fine but today i tried to open, it wont open. I downloaded a song and when i play it, it says application not find. Any suggestion why ITunes wont open and how can i get it fixed ?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Wwhat happens when you launch iTunes? Any error messages?

I'm having the EXACT same issue as of this morning, with same model as well. Yosemite installed on Macbook 13in, late 2011. Spinning beachball and nothing else. rebooted and did a shut down as well. Same result. Any advice?
