not printing

I have an iMac running Mac OS X. My problem is that I cannot print documents.

1. Printer is working fine.
   1. I am able to run a test page from the printer software.
   2. I am able to print a web page.
   3. The paper is going through the printer fine.
   4. The ink is full.
   5. I have deleted and reinstalled the printer driver.
   6. i have tried printing with two different printers (Canon and HP.) Cannot get a print job off of either printer.
2. Computer
   1. I have restarted the computer.
   2. I have checked for software updates.

3. I can print directly from a web page but not from a document (Word, Excel, PDF). Only a portion of an email printed.

What else can I do?
