Yes. Yu can do it two ways:
- Use Apple's Boot Camp to run windows on the hardware directly. That only supports 8/8.1 and later

- Use a virtual machine like paid Parallels or free VirtualBox to run windows as a virtual machine on top of OSX
For both you have to purchase the windows software
