unresponsive iOS podcast app

Hi,

Podcast App on iPhone is completely unresponsive. Have deleted all prior 'casts, removed all subscriptions, and then attempted to start from scratch. Still nothing doing. Have synced iPhone to Mac etc etc. Is it possible, or even desirable to remove the app (don't know how) and then start again ?

Any other suggestions would be very welcome.
