Ipad is stuck on itunes screen. If it is turned off and the process of holding the home button followed it starts but itunes then signals that there is a code (9) error and the itunes screen comes back on. I have followed all instructions by Apple and the communities.

The "process" is to hold down the Home AND Wake/Sleep buttons until the Apple logo appears.
What happens when you do as the image shows and connect your iPad to iTunes on your computer?
I have tried several times to press Home and sleep buttons and logo appears briefly then connect to itunes aoppears. I have disconnected cable and held down home button and then reconnected cable and itunes asks me to either update or do a fresh start, either one selected gives me the error (9) and syas there is an error with the ipad.
No matter what I try the itunes screen appears back on the ipad.
I might add that even when i connect the charger cable to the ipad the itunes screen comes on
