forgot Passcode

Is there away around entering the Passcode after restoring my iPad 2 from icloud backup? The whole reason for the restore was because I forgot my Passcode. Is there anyway around the restoring process that would remove the old passcode? I am back to square one.

iPad 2, iOS 8

No. If you don't know the passcode then you must restore. Were it otherwise, then the passcode becomes a bit of useless protection. You can disable the passcode, but you need to know the passcode before you can disable it. If you keep any sensitive information on the device such as credit card numbers or bank information, then it's a bad idea to disable the passcode.

Either learn to remember it or write it down somewhere then put that document in a safe and secure location.
