My iPod 160GB is frozen. How do I get it started?

Have you tried resetting the device: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen redisplays you should be good to go.

I would make sure you have some battery power first so plug it in for an hour - then to hard reboot press the Play/Pause together with the Centre Button and hold both until yo set the Apple Logo appear. It should not take more than 5 seconds or so, if those buttons don't work try same but with the Menu and Centre Button. I'm assuming 160GB means you have Click wheel iPod.

Good catch! I saw 160GB and read 16GB. MY BAD!!! (have to stop multi-tasking 🙂)
