How to make keyboard clicks louder?

Is there a way to make keyboard clicks even louder than when the volume rocker is set to max? I hold the phone horizontally (rotated left so the speaker is upper right) when I type and find that I often cover the speaker partially, which partly mutes its sound. And even if I'm not covering the speaker, I find the clicks are just a bit quieter than I'd like. I'm using the default keyboard with default sounds.

Suggestions?

Context: I'm a new iPhone user, formerly used a Droid which allowed keyboard vibration. I'll refrain from ranting about how annoyed I am that Apple denies this extremely useful option.
