iPhone 5S cannot turn on. Dealer request for device password?

Hi Guys,

My 5S dead couple days back.😟 Can't even turn it on at all.

Today, I have just sent it to the local store for further defects.

Main concern from me is the staff require me to written down my passcode which seem a little bit danger for me.

Is this a standard procedure for warranty purpose? I dunno really.

After i got home , a bit worried here.😕 I was wonder shall i jz erase the device via icloud for safety?

But the data inside really meant a lots to me. 😢 Per
