I need a good book on macs
What is a good book on macs for a novice like me.I have a Mac OS X 10.7.5..something that covers software and hardware.Something from the basics on up.

David Pogue (now columnist also) "Missing Manual" series. His books on "Mac OS X: The Missing Manual, Yosemite" (or earlier versions) are excellent and have been one of the tomb bibles, there is also "Switching to Mac" (not as useful).
Just look on Amazon "Mac " and there are a lot of good choices.
O'Reily publishes (and carries Pogue's series) excellent books.
Apple has a lot of introductory material available online. Take a look at this:
