Logic X Navigation Arrows - any shortcuts?

I'm really missing the navigation arrows in Logic X (as in the L9 pic below):

I know this is more of an OS issue than a Logic issue, but are there any shortcuts or workarounds? (The scroll bar is next to useless at maximum zoom level when trying to do detailed edits).

Can't find anything in the Key commands menu.... any suggestions?!!

I think the closest you can come is to use shift-scrollwheel and command-scrollwheel for horizontal and vertical scrolling respectively.

Thanks Erik...

Unfortunately I'm on (Kensington) trackball rather than an Apple mouse. I have a newer (Slimblade) trackball on another system that I'll try experimenting with - if I remember rightly, the scroll function on that is more OS specific. Any idea how I might achieve shift-scroll on a trackpad out of interest?

This could be a dealbreaker for me (along with the 3 function plug-in slots)... really slowing me down.
