transferring music from ipod classic to itunes match

I subscribe to iTunes match and have about 5,000 tracks of music on my ipod classic. I have connected the ipod to my iMac computer many times and match then updates but I still have 70% of my music which has not transferred to Match.

How can I get the rest of my music to the Match listing?
