My computer is burning everything extremely slow regardless of what program I use, is there a fix for this ?

Note that I am using OS X Yosemite version 10.10.2 Processor 3.06Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 10GB Memory

An audio disc used to take 3 mins approx to burn and now it is 2 hours, so something is very wrong .

Can anyone advise of a fix for this please ?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Reset the SMC & PRAM, if those resets do not help then your SuperDrive may be dirty or in need or replacement. To clean, go to your local Office Supply Store and purchase a CD/DVD cleaning kit.
