How do I export an iMovie file?

I edited a birthday video which came up to 55 minutes a while ago and I've been trying to export it as a file for over a week now. Every time I try to export it, it'd start writing it and then it'd stop and say there was an error and it would have only exported about 7 minutes of the video. I've exported longer videos than this before and I never had problems with it then but this video is giving me trouble. I've tried exporting it other than just a file but even that doesn't work. How can I export this file? I need it urgently as a file! Would really appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks in advance 🙂
