Double tap the Home button, then swipe upwards on the Safari preview.

Go to: Settings - Safari - Clear History.

Restart Safari.

1: Open the "Settings" menu on your Home screen. 2: Tap the "Safari" tab on the Settings page. The Safari preferences screen loads. 3: Scroll down the page to the "Security" section. 4: Slide the "Block Pop-Ups" switch to the "On" position. 5: Press the "Home" button to return to your Home screen.

My router is definitely not comprimised and I have been using iOS Safari daily since the first iPad in 2010. How is it that Safari suddenly being comprised by locking up from a hijack? It is an issue to me because I have lost my history of all of the pages I visited related to today's work, I needed this days history. I have 4 iOS devices and 7 Apple Computers. Hijack or not, this is new to me. Can you cite this occurring in the past on iOS? It has never occurred to me or other users in my home business after hundreds of hours on multiple iOS devices. All are up to date on software. This is not a benign issue. I also wanted to add that I had already took the actions as recommended and was able to recover several websites, but this is a new problem to me.
