Unable to watch photos from Photos library

The main reason I use my Apple TV's is to watch photos from my Photos library on my Mac, watch my home videos, watch my iTunes content and watch Netflix. I guess since the new Photos app it is no longer possible to watch photos. Why?!! Why did Apple pay people to remove the option to watch the albums/photos on your Mac? I don't get it. They left the home movies in.

Maybe I'm missing something, but now there is no way to show the photos on your Mac on your tv anymore. Not even with AirPlay! Why?!!
