how do i transfer my music from iPad into my iTunes? For some reason my music isn't showing in iTunes even though its on my ipad

Generally, you can transfer files from iTunes to other devices, but not from devices to iTunes. It's meant as a theft prevention method.

If you bought the music from the iTunes Store, log in, go to the Music section, then Purchases tab. You should be able to download all your purchases to iTunes for free.

Have you checked the media folder for the media. It could be that the media is there but the library has been corrupted and replaced with a new empty library. See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash or Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I know this is very late but you can get a application called iExplorer on both Mac and PC and you can automatically sync all of your songs from your iDevice straight to iTunes
