is it possible to back up photos to HDD

I bought my daughter an IPhone 5s, and the memory (16GB ) is almost full ,my Airport extreme has a USB slot, please can you tell me if it is possible to back up the photos / content to an external hard drive without connecting to a Laptop/ PC
