I've been told, if my phone was being slow, to restart it by holding down the home button and power button. I did so and when my phone came back on, mostof my apps had been deleted. I reset my homescreen layout and all my apps came back, except my iMessage icon. It's nowhere to be found at all. I can't search it, it's not in my settings. How do I get it back?

There is no iMessage icon. iMessages are run within the Messages app. If that's what you lost, see this:
