How could I recover iMovie and iPhoto on my Macbook after having a new hard drive installed?

I got a new hard drive installed since my original one had some liquid damage. Since then, I no longer have iMovie, iPhoto, or Garage Band. I read that you could get it from the app store. However, this does not work for me. Does any one know how I could recover them without having to pay?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Log into the Mac App Store with the associated Apple ID, click on the Purchases tab, and download them from there. If you don't have access to that Apple ID or they were never associated with one, click here and contact Apple.
