When I go to my pages it won't open the file it says could not be handled because Pages cannot open files of this type." I have pages 5.5.2 and I have done my work from my Mac then saved it and next day tried to open but doesn't let me.

The latest version of Pages doesn't support a document once it has been saved in a later version of OS X.
For example:
The best/only way I've found of getting around this is by using iCloud.com. It seems to have a built in converter when you download a document. If you upload a document you can't open to iCloud.com and then download it, you should be able to open it.
Ridiculous, I know.. but you get used to it.
