Podcasts and iTunes Store apps disappeared

Both apps for Podcasts and the iTunes store have disappeared from my iPhone 4S after the latest IOS update. I checked for updates and it says that I am using the latest version. I tried the hard reset and left the phone off for quite some time but the apps still aren't appearing. I looked in the app store and it says I have them already installed. When I click to open the app from the app store nothing happens. I tried to search for it on the phone but they don't show up. I've tried re-synching my phone but that hasn't done anything to help. Not sure what else to do here. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
