Settings > General > Software updates > Download and install
Make sure you have enough space on your phone, the update requires a few gigabytes.
Then you can also do it via itunes, but I don't remember how to do that.
You can't, as iOS 7.1.2 is the highest possible.
Oh, sorry, for some reason thougt it said 4S... Well then, as stedman1 said, you can't.
