EE WiFi calling blocking outgoing email in outlook - anyone else?

Recently EE introduced using WiFi for calls, idea being to enhance coverage when you have no or poor network signal.

Your charged normal phone plan rates.

Turned through Settings/phone/ throw slider, you need latest iOS.

when activated it slows or totally kills emails going out - anyone else or any fixes?
