Photo is clumsy to use and major Facebook issues.

I don't know why we've ended up with photos when iPhotos was easy to use and worked well in every application I used. I don't like most aspects of photos and is seems awkward and complicated to use when making albums moving photos and naming events .

I use Facebook to promote my business and post photos from my iPhone most days. With iPhotos plug in phone, import, delete phone pic's, no prob. Now I'm not sure when its done importing and no option to delete phone photos gggrrrr. Every time I go to post said imported pics to an album on face book or turn them into and album on photo then add to Facebook it crashes, the wheel of doom appears and I have to restart Mac book 2nd gggrrr. How can I revert back to iPhotos as I don't have time to learn how to use photos and make calls to apple to get thing working as it should.

Launch iPhoto. Done.

Make albums in Photos is the same as if, but it has extra possibilities, there are no Events in Photo to name... If you're usingg iCLoud Library then there's no need to import from the phone at all.

Moments in Photos are the new Events, i.e. groupings of photos sorted by date taken.

When the iPhoto Library was first migrated to Photos there was a folder created in the sidebar titled iPhoto Events and all migrated iPhoto Events (which are now Moments) are represented by an album in that folder. To open the sidebar if it's not already open use the Option+Command+S key combination.

There's a way to simulate events in Photos.

When new photos are imported into the Photos library go to the Last Import smart album, select all the photos and use the File ➙ New Album menu option or use the key combination Command+N. Name it as desired. It will appear just above the iPhoto Events folder where you can drag it into the iPhoto Events folder

When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window.

The downside to the simulation is that the Albums/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title. But they can also be sorted manually, either in the sidebar or in the folder's window at the right.
