Verify and Repair Keychain

Finder >Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access

Click “Keychain Access” in the menubar and choose Keychain First Aid.

Enter Username, if not already entered.

Enter the password.

Click “Verify” button and then “Start”.

Click  “Repair” button and then “Start.

Quit Keychain Access

I have tried your solution to this problem several times but the keychain password windows keep popping up - very annoying. Do you know how to stop this from happening? Many thanks, in advance, for your reply.

I have the same problem. I'm on Mavericks and Keychain Access does not have the First Aid option.

I have tried many solutions porposed here but they don't work.

Each time I start up my Mac, a pop up wants me to type the session log in password which is different from my User password. When I tried to change the session log in password so it matches my User's password, it tells me that the new password is not valid.

It is a serious problem because it seems that if the password is not typed, Google Drive does not starts its syncing and thus it is useless to program a scheduled start up of the Mac for remote operation as most features of Google do not work without this password.
