May 24, 2015 10:39 AM in response to elsa11by Allan Jones,How much RAM is installed? The standard RAM in an iBook 933mhz was not enough for Panther, much less Tiger.
but classic is slow with some of the games
As your model cannot support OS9 natively, there is nothing you can do with that computer other than add RAM and hope for the best.

May 25, 2015 1:52 PM in response to elsa11by K Shaffer,While there may be enough RAM and hard disk drive free space (for Virtual Memory, supplemental
to the installed RAM chip memory) for the OS X to work properly, to use Classic to access OS 9.2
applications, that requires more system/computer resources. It will be much slower to run Classic
OS9.2.2 applications via Classic than they would be if your computer could boot in OS 9.2 directly.
By most standards of measure, older computers such as yours (single-core, limited RAM + GPU,
and slow-spin rate hard disk drive, etc) would be a bad example when attempting to run most
quality applications and games, via Classic 9. + Your support for Classic ends, past Tiger 10.4.11.
One of the ways an older computer may act quickly, would be find a new ATA/IDE hard disk drive
for notebook, size 2.5-inch, that runs at 7200-RPM. This in itself may be most difficult, as they are
rare. That kind of drive rotational speed could help move file read-writes to Virtual Memory on a
hard disk drive, quicker, and some of the lag or slowness would not be present. Another idea that
may be more possible (if you have good technical skills & can read detailed instructions) would be
to get an SSD such as OWC macsales.com has, an OWC Legacy SSD that can be used in older
portable computers; they will work in place of the ATA/IDE rotational hard disk drive. Much faster...

{There really isn't much if any option than an SSD, and the OWC Mercury looks to be the best option
to the old slow RPM hard disk drive. The Solid State Drive is very much faster than original HDD.}

If your computer already has a 1024MB upgrade RAM chip in the memory slot beneath the keyboard
then it has a little over 1GB total, as much as it can use. However the data transfer rate of the hard drive
is another limitation which may be overcome to some degree with faster RPM rotational HDD, or an SSD.
Hopefully you can resolve the issues of how the older vintage & obsolete products & software function.
Another way around this may be to look into a restored early MacBook 13-inch model from 2006-2010
that can run Snow Leopard; however it won't play the old vintage Classic OS 9 applications. It's also
in a new vintage category, compared to the current run of latest OS X and hardware changes.
In any event...
Good luck & happy computing!

May 29, 2015 9:59 PM in response to Knuckles2001by K Shaffer,Speaking of Bugdom, did you find a curious error in the game, whereby you
could take the character behind the front of the game & move around? I did.
There seemed to be only one glitch in the program that allowed you to take
the main character there, and no other way back to the front of the game.
Sadly, I included many of these kinds of items with a bundled deal I included
with an excellent condition B&W G3 tower, games and OS discs. ~ A mistake.

May 31, 2015 5:00 PM in response to elsa11by a brody,There are versions of Bugdom that will run natively in Mac OS X. Finding them may not be easy, but it should perform better than in Classic.
iBook G3s are the newest iBooks that will boot into Mac OS 9.
If you want a notebook that can boot into Mac OS 9, look at the Titanium Powerbook G4s. The fastest ones at 1 Ghz can both boot Mac OS 9, and take up to 2 GB of RAM. Do not confuse for the aluminum model that has the USB ports on the side of the keyboard instead of behind the keyboard and screen (when the screen is opened up). The ones with the USB ports behind the screen are Titanium.
