When I start up macbook pro, Chrome automatically opens. How do I make it stop?

Go to System prefences->Users->Login items and uncheck chrome(or something like that).

Thanks Ogelthorpe,

Turns out by going to System Preferences/Users and Groups I can select login items and remove items that I don't want to have open on startup. It worked!
