Scanners

In need of a flatbed scanner, USB powered, to work with a MacBook Pro running 10.10.3.

Has anyone used either of the Canon ones on offer, or the Epson counterpart? I like the idea of sending data direct to the cloud. My huge project won't require hi-res scans; have read wildly differing reviews of both machines.

Any more input would be of great help.
