Messages that were sent on my iPad, won't show up on any other devices

If I send a message on my iPad, I can see it in my sent messages, but if I log on to my email from my computer or my phone, I can't see the messages there. I've tried playing with the settings, but I can't find one to store the sent messages on the server as opposed to saving them on my iPad. Help? It's an iPad mini
