How do I turn on my iPod touch if I didn't turn it off to begin with?

I just got my iPod touch a few days ago and all of a sudden it just turned off and I've had it charging all night on my computer. I never turned off my iPod touch, I just set it on airplane mode for the night. The next morning when I pressed a button to see what time it was, it wouldn't turn on. I kept pressing and holding the power button to make it turn on but nothing. I then left it alone on a wall charger so that it could charge thinking maybe that was the problem. Still, nothing helped. How else can I get it to turn on?

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
