Q: Aluminum vs Stainless Steel - Allergies

I'm very allergy prone - had to wear surgical stainless steel earrings, etc.  So in considering getting an Apple Watch, I'm wondering if anyone has found that they are getting allergic reactions to the aluminum versus the stainless steel.  I also read something about a small amount of nickle in the sensors.  Has anyone had any allergic reactions to the nickle?

If you do a search of the forum, you will find several entries of people discussing allergic reactions, but generally nickel. If you go to the Watch page, you can find out information about case content, but would need to discuss that with your allergist. If you are very allergy prone, which you say you are, you might be better served avoiding something like this unless your allergist approves.

The watch case is surgical stainless steel, which does contain up to 5% nickel, but apparently tightly bonded, so if you can wear those earrings the watch should not pose a problem. To be honest, I've never heard of an Aluminum allergy until another post today. So I did a search and found mention, but only on quack websites. Nothing on webMD, for example.
