Iphone 6 iMessage problem
My iPhone 6 sometimes will say a iMessage was "delivered" but the person i sent it to never actually received my text. Same thing vice versa

Try logging out of iMessage and signing back in. Try, in addition, turn off iMessage and turn it back on. You might as well tell that to your partner to see if that fixes the issue.
