How to remove items in "Look me up by email" from iCloud setting ?

I find that there is a feature "Look me up by email" when you go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive. It can also be found in the setting on iCloud.com.

I'm not sure but it looks like someone / app will be able to find my name by my iCloud address.

I see there is an option to tick or un-tick, but I have no further control on it. I even cannot remove it ( especially the one from a third party app).

Does anyone have any info about this? Anyone knows how to remove items there?

Thanks.

I have the exact same problem with Appintheair, after a couple of years, I still can't get rid of this at the look me up by email feature. Not only that, it crashes when I click on the feature in my iPhone.

Has anyone been able to resolve the issue?

As per this article : macOS Sierra: Change iCloud feature settings

Change iCloud Drive options

To view or change iCloud Drive settings, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud.

If iCloud Drive is turned on, click Options to select:

  • Whether to store your Desktop and Documents folders in iCloud Drive. See Store your desktop and documents in iCloud Drive.
  • Which apps use your iCloud storage.
  • Which apps let other people look you up by your email address (the one you use as your Apple IDfor iCloud). Anyone who looks you up can also see your first and last name.To prevent an app from showing your email address and name to other users, deselect the app’s checkbox in the list.If the Look Me Up By Email list is empty, you don’t have any iOS or Mac apps installed that use the feature.

Hi , this question is for year 2015 , and original poster is looking this thread can't say .

To remove an app .

Enter in system library : click on finder > Go > computer > Macintosh HD > applications , find an app right click on it and delete .

Same in system library > click on library search the app and its residues in these folders :

Application support , caches , frameworks , input methods , internet plugins , Launch Agents , Launch Daemons , Logs , preferences , Privileged HelperTools , Receipts , scripting additions , start up items , extensions .

In user library : macOS Sierra: Library folder

See in application support , caches , cookies , saved application state , input methods , internet plugins , Launch Agents , preferences , Logs .

Make sure if any thing is in download folder .

Delete them into trash , restart the machine and empty the trash .

I have the same issue... How do we delete these items? I have a Free Translator app that I've deleted from my iTunes and from my devices but I still can't get rid of it. There should be a warning of some type before these apps allow a lookup or otherwise link (or validate) my Apple identity.

Having the same issue with the same app here too. I have already reported this to Apple developers at bugreport.apple.com but still no word. I hope this issue can be resolved asap. Can anyone assist with this? Apple developers and technicians, you are free to chime in at anytime now.
