Jan 1, 2016 2:21 PM in response to cdhwby marvafromca,I have 14.5.9 and it does not see/recognize Photos - only Aperture (now defunct I guess), iPhoto (defunct I know!) and PhotoBooth!! Word says I have the latest updates. SUPER frustrating as I am in the middle of various projects and need the darn Photos!! Just another comment aside.. Skype also does not see Photos for attaching images.. grrrrr!!!

Apr 6, 2016 12:14 PM in response to tracykatby marvafromca,It took awhile and many restarts, but somehow, magically (!!!) all of a sudden I was able to see Photos in Word and use it normally with El Capitan. Since there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this, I have just accepted it, that it works now.. Before, I could not SEE photos, just iPhoto, Aperture and Photo Booth.. For awhile I did the work around, which was laborious but worked - moving the photos I wanted to use to a desktop folder and then importing from there into Word.

Apr 6, 2016 12:17 PM in response to marvafromcaby tracykat, bummer. it seems there must be a way to tell word on my computer to look for photos in the photos library, but i can't find where to do that.

Apr 6, 2016 2:54 PM in response to tracykatby cdhw,Try selecting 'Photos' in the Word Media Browser then drag your 'Photos' folder from the Finder into the Media Browser panel.
