Q: Can not insert photos to Word or Outlook after upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.3, suggestions?

Since installiing Yosemite and all updates I have lost the ability to insert a photo into a MS Word document or into an MS Outlook email.  Is there a fix?

I drill down in the files to pictures to photo library but see nothing it used to go right to my photos.

I have 14.5.9 and it does not see/recognize Photos - only Aperture (now defunct I guess), iPhoto (defunct I know!) and PhotoBooth!! Word says I have the latest updates. SUPER frustrating as I am in the middle of various projects and need the darn Photos!! Just another comment aside.. Skype also does not see Photos for attaching images.. grrrrr!!!

It took awhile and many restarts, but somehow, magically (!!!) all of a sudden I was able to see Photos in Word and use it normally with El Capitan. Since there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this, I have just accepted it, that it works now.. Before, I could not SEE photos, just iPhoto, Aperture and Photo Booth.. For awhile I did the work around, which was laborious but worked - moving the photos I wanted to use to a desktop folder and then importing from there into Word.

bummer.  it seems there must be a way to tell word on my computer to look for photos in the photos library, but i can't find where to do that.

Try selecting 'Photos' in the Word Media Browser then drag your 'Photos' folder from the Finder into the Media Browser panel.
