What can you do if your apple remote stops working and you cannot get into your apple tv and the remote is not compatible with your macbook with retina? And you have already purchased new batteries!!

Try Resetting the Apple TV by disconnecting the power cable for about 30 seconds.

You can also control Apple TV via Remote app on your iPhone or iPad.

no the remote doesn't work at all is what I am saying. I put a new battery in it and it still won't work.
