Iphotos update paused

Hi -

My Iphotos is paused in the middle of an update. When I go to updates and hit "update all" again, Iphotos sends a message that the program is temporarily unavailable....try again later. This is preventing me from synching my photos to and from my Iphone. Any suggestions?
