Can't renew HBO Now subscription on my iPad.

I downloaded the app and used the free trial on my son's iPhone and it is now expired. So I downloaded the app on my iPad and tried watching but it says I must renew my subscription.When I click on the button to renew my subscription, I get a note which says in-app purchases are not allowed. I keep trying and I am going in circles. I updated my payment info, etc. in the App store but that has not helped. Any advice is appreciated!!!

If you are getting an "In-App Purchases Not Allowed" error, then you need to check your Restrictions. Settings>General>Restrictions. You probably do not have In-App Purchases turned on as Allowed for the Apple ID that is signed onto the iPad.
