mac mini front socket

What is the connector I use to get sound out of the front socket?

I am trying to connect my mini to my sound system using a coaxial connector.

There is no connectors on the front panel of the MacMini, an infrared receiver is on the front.

All connections are on the back, connect a 3.5mm stereo jack to the "headphone" connector which will provide a stereo line level out to connect to a sound amplifier.

If you mean, how do I connect a "Digital Optical Cable" to my Mac Mini's Audio Out (Headphone) jack..?

Then you need either a Toslink Optical Cable with a 3.5mm adapter on one end.

Or if you already have an optical cable, then you would just need a S/PDIF to Toslink 3.5mm adapter.
