Q: cannot backup iphone 6 to itunes

HI there.

Have discovered that I can't back-up an iphone 6. We are running the 8.3 update on all of our phones. I have the same problem on at least 2 iphone 6s, however I can backup an iphone 5 and an iphone 4 to itunes. I have tried deleting old backups from the computer (windows computer) and getting rid of the lockdown folder and a couple of other things, but still no joy. Any ideas?

Thanks for the useful article which I think summed up the things I'd tried. However, I have had success since quite simply by backing up using a genuine apple lightning cable. Bizarrely I could back-up and iphone 4 and iphone 5 successfully using a non-genuine cord, but not the iphone 6s! Hope that helps someone else who gets stuck.
