The usage available on my ipod says something different on itunes than on ipod

The usage available on my ipod says something different when it is connected to itunes.

On my ipod it says I only have 7.1 GB space available. While, when I connect my ipod to itunes it says differently. It shows I have 8.71 GB available. (On the bar is where it says)

Which one is the right one? How do I get it so it has the same number once again? Please help.

iPod touch (5th generation), iOS 8.3, null

How large is the "other" category in iTunes? Sometimes some files get corrupted.

It isnt much, it's only 897.8 MB

Post screen shots of the screen on the iPod that is showing the usage by categories. Also post a screenshot of the colored bargraph in iTunes with the capacity usage.

IT changed! It now says I only have 8.13GB
