I have a Mac book Pro 15', OS X 10.8.4, with a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, memory of 4Gb 1067 MHz DDR3.
Whenever I start my Macbook I see that the screen acts abnormally like it has cracks in it, also happens when I am working on Garage band or watching videos in VLC or pictures in iPhoto and then after few seconds the system restarts on its own. What could possibly be wrong?

Your best option is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. The evaluation will be FREE. Take the picture with you just in case the MBP does not exhibit the same symptoms in front of the technicians.
