Just bought a brand new TC with ac wireless protocol. Firmware is 7.7.3
It is configured as PPPoE and connected to an external modem through the wan port. I never had any problem with the old d-link router. While with the TC often internet pages are very slow to load. Sometimes I get a blank page and, after a long wait, I switch from 2.4 to 5 GHz (or viceversa) and immediately the page loads.
Changing channels does not help.

At this point, there is really no way to know know whether you have a PPPoE connection problem....common on Apple routers...or a wireless problem.
Temporarily, turn off the WiFi on your computer and connect it using an Ethernet cable directly to one of the LAN <--> ports on the TC and watch the connection for a few hours.
How does the Internet connection perform that way?
Changed the network configuration to "bridged mode" and used the old d-link router to manage PPPoE. Connected to the TC wi-fi and works like a charm. Then the TC implementation of PPPoE is very bad
Good plan to let the modem handle the PPPoE service, since the Apple routers are not known for their ability to provide PPPoE service reliably.
