Internet is weak

Just bought a brand new TC with ac wireless protocol. Firmware is 7.7.3


It is configured as PPPoE and connected to an external modem through the wan port. I never had any problem with the old d-link router. While with the TC often internet pages are very slow to load. Sometimes I get a blank page and, after a long wait, I switch from 2.4 to 5 GHz (or viceversa) and immediately the page loads.


Changing channels does not help.

At this point, there is really no way to know know whether you have a PPPoE connection problem....common on Apple routers...or a wireless problem.


Temporarily, turn off the WiFi on your computer and connect it using an Ethernet cable directly to one of the LAN <--> ports on the TC and watch the connection for a few hours.


How does the Internet connection perform that way?
