ipad update woes
I am trying to update my old iPad from iOs 5.1.1 to 8.0 but itunes says its up to date.. Any ideas?
This likely indicates that you have a 3rd generation, which can not be upgraded further.

I Think that you have the original iPad. That is the only model that cannot be upgraded to iOS 8.3. The iPad 2, iPad 3rd and 4th generation, all iPad Minis and both iPad Air models can be upgraded, but not the original iPad. So what you are seeing in iTunes would be correct, if you have the first iPad.
You probably have an iPad 1 which cannot be updated beyond iOS 5.1.1.
